History of SUSE
On September 2, 1992, eighty forty in Nuremberg, Germany, Roland Dyroff, Thomas Fehr, Hubert Mantel and BurchardEntwicklung und Steinbild-Gesellschaft für Software GmbHSystem formed. Literally translated as "Society for the development of software and systems," the company has alwaysbeen known as SUSE.
Maybe they did not understand at the time, but these young people has changed the face of Linux ever. The first time I lackedthe planned deployment installation and configuration of YaSTtool (another configuration tool) was developed. Popular for their ease of use, attractive interface and the ability to customize their systems quickly during and after installation, YaST has taken theLinux business community by storm. And this was just the beginning.
The technical expertise and customer orientation SUSE always stood out from other Linux distributions. IBM has taken note andhas worked with more of SUSE in the platforms of developmentof your premium. Built on the source code of Linux kernel, open and distributed system and other software applications open source projects, SUSE was one of the first to offer the open source value for the company.
In 2004, Novell bought SuSE and contributions to the communityby sponsoring the expansion project and openSUSE openSUSEBuild Service. They have made a significant contribution to theLinux kernel and Xen, KVM, OpenOffice.org, GNOME and KDE.He currently serves as an independent business unit ofAttachmate Group, SUSE continues to innovate and meet the needs of its partners and customers around the world with thebest Linux distribution on the market.
